Public Summary Month 7/2012

The PsyIntEC project is progressing as planned. Two Adept S650 robot arms are now able to play a joint game of a reference task. The task is a physical Towers of Hanoi game with wooden pieces. Development of a camera module for detecting the game state is undergoing and should be ready soon. The cognition and affect part of the project where a Biosemi hardware system is being connected to the robot controller system at runtime is currently being developed.

 

Experiments is being planned and will be performed when students arrive at the university in September.

Public Summary Month 5/2012

The PsyIntEC project has commenced on time and progress is being made in all aspects of the project. The overall team includes the PI, a technical team leader/postdoc, two PhD students (one partially funded by the project), a programmer and 6 masters thesis students. Hardware assembly is underway and the focus of active R&D at the moment is psychophysiological data classification, machine vision using Kinect devices, and the single-human experiment phase (design and implementation).
